STI Prevention
The Sarpy/Cass Health Department conducts disease intervention activities targeting reportable sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, and HIV across Sarpy and Cass County. The Department ensures that patients diagnosed with an STD, their partner(s), and others at risk are individually and confidentially linked to care (testing, treatment, and education). Staff investigate each case and exposure in strict privacy without disclosure of identities and provide care coordination and follow-up. In addition to outreach initiatives like community-level health education, the Department is open to school-based sexual health education opportunities (presentations or printable materials).
